ABOUT KARNATAKA EDUCATION BOARD
Late Srinivas Rao Rodda a great educationist founded Karnataka Education Board by starting Karnataka High school in Fort on 20th April 1919 and it celebrated Centenary in 2019. In 1927 Dr. N.B.Kabbur took the reigns of KE board and started KE Board high school in Malmaddi in 1937. It celebrated Platinum Jubilee in 2013. Subsequently old Victoria school at Hebballi Agasi, Madihal started in 1882 was merged with KE board and took the name as Vidyaranya High School.
Shri.S.G.Nadgir at KE board high school Malmaddi, Shri K.G. Joshi at Karnataka High School at Killa, Shri. V.K.Holikatti. at Vidyaranya High school Madihal, took leadership along with many dedicated teachers for several decades and brought KE Board to national repute, gaining the name as RANK HOLDER’S SCHOOLS. Then Dr. Anand Kabbur and Shri. N.K. Kulkarni as Chairman started many schools across Dharwad and took KE Board to still greater heights.
Shri. Srikant Patil a famous pleader as Chairman, and Shri D.S. Rajpurohit as secretary, Shri S.R. Parande as treasurer and along with eight educationists & social workers as Managing Commitee members run the present management.
KE Board under its umbrella, 17 schools from KG to Degree College in it’s five Campuses, situated in 28 acres across Dharwad,
- KE board Malmaddi Campus -11 acres.
- Karnataka School & KNK girl School, Killa, Campus- 4 acres.
- Vidyaranya School & PU College Campus – 4 acres.
- K.E. Board College Shivaji Road Campus – 6 acres,
- KELGERI Campus- 3 acres.
