From Principal’s desk…
Education is all around drawing out of the best in the child and man-body, mind and spirit.
Mahatma Gandhi
Karnataka Education Board aims at an all-round training for students to enable them to be spiritually oriented, morally upright, intellectually well informed, socially concerned, nationally conscious, appreciative of their culture, emotionally balanced and physically well developed.
Almost nearing century, Karnataka Education Board, Dharwad, one of the leading and prestigious Education organizations of north Karnataka is giving quality education at affordable cost to the North Karnataka students. The school bacame the centre for the activities of the freedom fighters. During this time only, K.E.Board adopted its Monogram “Rising Sun” as symbol and Slogan “Tejaswinavd hitamastu.”
Our logo”Rising Sun” is at the heart of everything we do at the school. We aim to not just impart knowledge to the students, but also to inculcate in them-wisdom, compassion and a humanitarian spirit. We have a multi-cultural student population; hence we teach children the importance of tolerance and respecting each other’s culture. Discipline, values and integrity are the very foundation of this school.
Besides rigorous scholastic programmes, we seek to develop and nurture the different facets of a child. The school encourages all students to participate in a variety of co-curricular activities from dance, art and drama to a variety of sports to social work to environmental conservation activities, (the list goes on). It is important for a child to explore and find their strengths in order to reach their true potential. Whether a child is an introvert or extrovert personalilty, the aim is to nurture the child into a
self-confident individual.
My unflinching belief has always been that those who find pleasure in diligent, dedicated and disciplined life reap a bountiful harvest in the form of divine satisfaction. I along with Mrs Shaila Thambkar took over the charge of this K.E.Board Central School Kelageri Campus on 1st July 2014, with only 30 students. But now it adds feather to our crown and feel proud to have 500 students.
It has been my constant endeavor to steer my teachers and students in this direction which I find most rewarding. My emphasis is upon this holistic development of a child by fostering a synergic blend between scholastic and co-scholastic achievements and a host of co-curricular and extra curricular activities which find a rightful place in the curriculum.
The school managment, teaching and non teaching staffs are working hard to provide the best quality of education. We do humbly seek the cooperation of dear parents and guardians to stand by us and boost our morale for doing good for their wards and our pupils. Let us all join hands to provide them a better future.
With regards,
